Teaching through Digital Interactive Board is a tool of modern educational system. This system has the following advantages:-
  1. Textual learning matter is in visual form in big fonts along with pictures/diagrams etc. in front of the students which makes the teaching/learning process more interesting.
  2. The format of teaching through Digital Interactive Board is audio+visual which is very effective as it has been proved by research that 11% of knowledge is acquired by ears (hearing) and 83% of it is derived by eyes (sight).
  3. This type of teaching learning process results in more interaction between teachers and students as the fear of forgetting some teaching point is totally eliminated and provides better understanding in the teacher who would have thoroughly revised the lesson while preparing the power point presentations and therefore greater mastery over subject matter.
  4. The power point presentations prepared by the teachers reduces the time of teaching and more explanation can be done. The time saved can be utilized for taking rounds to see whether students are writing properly, corrections, solving students’ personal doubts. However, the teaching through Digital Interactive Board has not replaced the traditional chalk and board method.
